Being given the locus project brief, I have developed on the theme of shape and texture. I find this brief scary as it is so broad and a chance to expansively explore a theme and material exploration.
As part of the project briefing we had to bring along an image that identifies what we aspire too in the art world, what inspires us as practitioners, I chose the work of Jamie North.

This work, we then categorised into a context so that we could identify where it sat within the world of art. I decided with my peers this was a piece of sculptural work made for the purpose of art as apposed to craft or product design.
